Heads up for developers: git master freeze and mono repository coming up!

Hi,
We will shortly be switching the gstreamer core repository to check out
the "main" branch by default instead of the "master" branch.
When that happens anyone who does a fresh clone of the gstreamer core
repository will effectively get what gst-build was before with all
major modules included (excl. Rust modules).
If anyone has scripts or workflows that git clone the gstreamer core
repository directly, you may want to make them explicitly check out the
"master" branch now to preserve your current position.
The "master" branches will stay frozen at the 1.19.2 release and may be
removed at some point in the future, but probably not for a while.
Alternatively, you can already update the scripts to use the main
branch of course. If you don't want the multi-module build you can
still change into the subprojects/gstreamer directory (and the other
subproject directories) and run meson in there directly to build only
GStreamer core (or other modules) individually.
More details to follow soon.
Cheers
Tim
