Mixing GStreamer versions

Hi GStreamers,

I have a theoretical question:  two devices, one is using gstreamer 1.16
and the other 1.18.
I want to stream video and audio data from one device to the other.
I am curious what are the issues, if any, when mixing gstreamer versions in
your streaming topology.

Any insight would be appreciated.
