Hal not working

Hello everyone. I need some help with this. I installed HAL via yum on my
system. When I try to run hal-device-manager i get this

ImportError: could not import gnomecanvas
ImportError: cannot import name DockItem from bonobo.ui

How do I fix this problem? I really need HAL working...
