Startup with hashes is much faster:

CVS head: 4:28 min
patched:  1:25 min

HAL finds 3100 devices on this LPAR. Most ccw_devices are offline,
however (shared across LPARs so I better not enable them :)). Only two
active dasds (so not much block device probing).
