Take a look at the patch I send yesterday [1]... we don't need theis debug 
stuff anymore. We also can share and reuse the code from the logger code we 
already use in hal(d) everything other is really unneeded code duplication. 
And we should think about find a way to share the left dropprivileges stuff 
(maybe in the utils file).
