Yes, I know about Rescan method, but it has device scope; what I am missing is
the way to tell HAL to check the whole device tree. I do not have details
now, but we had this discussion back on Mandriva list; it was about HAL not
noticing removal of devices across suspend.

it was kpowersave glitch for whatever reason. powersave did show correct
information.
