I'd appreciate if you thought a bit about how to do this on other
systems as well -- Apple Powerbooks have ams, a motion sensor that
differs from hdaps in that it sends interrupts when acceleration goes
below or above certain thresholds. This will probably need more kernel
support though, it currently only prints a message into the kernel log
when such an interrupt occurs.
