Crash with hal

Hi,

I downgraded to version 0.5.7.1 as suggested - and it works!

Seems to be a problem in newer versions (maybe due to some not very common
hardware configurations or partitioning?).

I can now provide the output of lshal - may be of some interest for hal
developers.
