Hi.

how lshal gets informations about the hardware and vendor?

I've the problem that i can't get all necessary informations out of my
system.
When i start from a Ubuntu Live-CD i can get Informations like:

# lshal | grep system.product
   smbios.system.product = 'Extensa 5220'  (string)
   system.product = 'Extensa 5220 0100'  (string)
# lshal | grep system.vendor
   system.vendor = 'Acer'  (string)

But on my system i get no output of this informations.

I configured hal like this:

./configure     --prefix=/usr \
                --enable-fstab-sync \
                --enable-sysfs-carrier \
                --libexecdir=/usr/lib/$name \
                --localstatedir=/var \
                --with-hwdata=/usr/share/hwdata \
                --with-hal-user=haldaemon \
                --with-hal-group=haldaemon \
                --with-dbus-sys=/usr/etc/dbus-1/system.d \
                --with-backend=linux

What is required to get all this informations?
Or gets lshal this informations from another app?

regards
Hannes
