[solved] hald-0.5.8.1 segfaults

I had reported that hal-0.5.8.1 did not run on Slackware.

After a lot of angst, and some guesswork, I determined the problem was
glib, not udev, or anything else.

I had glib-2.12.4 installed and that was the problem. There were some
notes about glib-2.12.5 breaking hal, and I think it applied to 2.12.4 and
0.5.8.1 as well. This problem did not occur with hal-0.5.7.1.

Upgrading to glib-2.12.9 solved the segfaulting I observed earlier. You
may wish to add a big note about this.
