HAL doesn't recognize ATI IXP AC97 as sound card

Since this device is listed as 'unknown', PulseAudio doesn't pick it up.
It's probably HP/ATI doing something dumb here. Device Manager lists the
device type as 'unknown'. The lspci -l output:
