I must say "noquirk" is a very good idea : we have been spending a lot
of time on testing suspend / resume during Mandriva 2007 Spring testing
and found many problems, with either old quirks no needed anymore and
causing trouble or missing quirks.
Using the "noquirk" hint will allow to easier tracking of problematic
laptops.
However, it might be worth noting some nvdidia based laptops are able to
suspend only with nv driver (not nvidia proprietary driver) and other,
with different GPU (both Intel AND ATI) are only suspendable with one
GPU (Intel) and not the other one (and GPU is switchable when powering
the laptop ..).
I'll send another separated patch to merge our other fixes for suspend.
And I'll try to get a list of "no quirks needed" laptops we tested and
I'll submit it here.
