What is a "DeviceKit"? There are some people which use this name, but nobody 
knows or tell anything about this in the list. Was there a 
discussion/announcement on an other ML?  I'm really afraid about this! 

Will something happen, as in the last time with other projects (e.g. CK), 
somethink like that there is no upstream discussion about changes and then a 
rewrite/change (in a project or the whole stack) get announced (including 
code)? 

Sorry, but I have to say (maybe I'm a littlebit paranoid, but I know there are 
several developers with the same concerns): I'm not happy how this all 
currently works. It looks as if there are on the one side people (without 
name names/groups), which develop behind closed doors and on the other side 
the rest of the opensource community which have to live with the results and 
their decisions. Somehow it leaves a bad taste.

I really hope it's not the case with this project now!

I wish there would be a more transparent and more open development- and 
decision process.
