Hal shuts down when computer boots on battery power

Hi
I'm having problems with hal on my gentoo system. Im running hal
version 0.5.11-r3
The computer is an Amilo m1437g. When I boot on AC-power everything
works perfectly. When I boot on battery-power, hal shuts down before
gnome has finished loading. This is the log prior to the shutdown (only
log output that matches hal keyword, can post total output if you wish):
