Ok, I've played with this a little. As far as I can tell, the only thing you can do with the smbios interface is enable and disable the ALS? Isn't that what fn+left cursor is for? I'm not entirely clear on what useful information you can obtain here. -- Matthew Garrett | mjg59 at srcf.ucam.org
