The window between 1.5 (the first release during which using evdev for 
keyboard devices was in any way sane) and 1.5.3 (where this was fixed) 
was two months. Any distribution shipping a 1.5 release without having 
fixed this is doing it wrong, so addon-input works fine in the vast 
majority of the world.
