I just dropped 08.

I just copy the autotools files over from the previous project I
started. So yeah, almost a template. I picked-up most patches, a few I
posted comments to.

Thanks for the cleanup! (Btw., if you put me in CC, it's easier for me
to spot/tag them ;))
