What version of:
- Mesa
- kernel
- X server
- X intel driver
you have?

My first suspicion would be for X intel driver.  Does issue go away if you
switch from SNA to UXA acceleration in xorg.conf (or other way round if you
were using UXA).  Or from DRI3 to DRI2 if you have DRI3 enabled?
