Yes, that's the plan. We have been working on gen7 for now because of two
reasons:

1) We don't have gen8 hardware available yet. We ordered some broadwell
hardware some days ago but it won't get here until some time next week.

2) Even if we don't work on fp64 for gen < 8 for now, we don't want to break
anything there, so that is work we would have to do anyway.

By the time we get our hands on gen8 hardware we will focus on that platform
and only look at gen < 8 to make sure we don't add regressions for non-fp64
stuff there.
