dmesg from a boot of kernel 3.10.9 with CONFIG_DRM_I915=m and
CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS=y and /etc/modprobe.d/test.conf:options i915 modeset=1,
acpi_osi

with cmdline addition: acpi_osi="!Windows 2012"

same result as without acpi_osi.
