Probably the same way on the TX300. I can confirm it definitely is the same way
at boot with a HDMI monitor connected to the micro HDMI connector, boot process
is displayed only on the external screen. Didn't try whether I could switch the
internal display on after boot, but as other things look to be the same that
you have, probably not.
