When I included the boot parameter to disable modesetting (i915.modeset=0), X
fails to load and GDM errors were seen. This occurs for both kernel versions.
Xorg.0.log shows 'No devices detected'. Therefore, should I continue running
the tool since there is no way to enter X and change the resolution?

I will attach the Xorg.0.log for your reference. Do let me know if you need
more information.
