I don't think you're going to like the news. First, i915 does not support your
hardware with nomodeset. Only KMS is supported. Second, we don't have proper
support for DP hubs either, that means your dock with two DP monitors. Third,
the TPM errors have nothing to do with i915 (or at least I can't think of how
they could have).

We need to reduce the scope to test #3. What does it mean you saw tmp_tis
error? Is that the last thing you see? Where does the boot stop? Does a GUI
come up? What does a hang mean? Does the machine respond to ping? Can you ssh
into it?
