I don't know of a case in which nomodeset is added to the kernel option by the
installer with RHEL/CentOS/Scientific Linux. Denis, are you sure that really
happened? If so, it may be worth filing a bug report.

My understanding is that nomodeset will not be available in the upcoming
RHEL-7.
