            Bug ID: 87049
Summary: [915] querying Randr enables LVDS output. Spurious TV
                    detection?!
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/intel
          Assignee: chris at chris-wilson.co.uk

echo 0xe > /sys/module/drm/parameters/debug; xrandr --output LVDS1 --off;
xrandr; echo 0 > /sys/module/drm/parameters/debug; dmesg

Hello,

this is the same machine and symptoms that
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31519 were reported for. I decided
to report a new bug because it's a different kernel/xorg combination now
compared to the two years old previous bug.

Chipset: 915GM
System arch: i686
Distribution: Debian (Jessie)
Machine: Thinkpad X41
related packages:
  libdrm-intel1: 2.4.58-2
  xserver-xorg: 1:7.7+7
  xserver-xorg-core: 2:1.16.1.901-1
  xserver-xorg-video-intel: 2:2.21.15-2+b2
  linux-image-3.16.0-4-686-pae: 3.16.7-2

When I run

    xrandr --output LVDS1 --off

the LVDS output goes off as expected, but then running

    xrandr

without option reenables it again.
