I'm running gentoo-sources 3.18.3 which is based of 3.18.1 with the following
patches:
http://dev.gentoo.org/~mpagano/genpatches/patches-3.18-3.htm
I'm still getting the WARNING, however it seems to recover faster than it
previously did.
