For summary, after version 3.18 kernel doesn't trip any more (no segfaults).
The error mentioned in comment #18 persist, but it doesn't create any
inconveniences in daily use. The external monitor connection through HDMI is
detected but there's no output on screen. This situation is much better than on
Win7 where the driver doesn't even detect any connection. As I don't use
external monitor, for me the issue is fixed. Thanks.
