Thank you very much for your replies.

Obviously we don't share the same hardware. Only the symptoms are/were the same
as from the BUG's reporter.

Unfortunately I can't get you info via external channels like usb/
serial/console. Additinonally, I don't use Ubuntu.

For the moment, I've recompiled my kernel to include i915 into the kernel and
attached myself to the more appropriate freedesktop BUG 91976.
