Thanks a lot for this! While looking at the log files I spotted one thing about
your machine that's different from my machine (where I can't reproduce the
problem), so I decided to investigate and found one possible issue. Can you
please test whether the two patches I attached fix the problem?

Just apply both patches, then test. If the problem goes away, it would be good
to revert patch 2 and test to see if the problem also goes away with just patch
1 applied.
