Bug ID: 94336
Summary: suspend does not work when in docking station (used to
work before)
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/intel
Assignee: chris at chris-wilson.co.uk
Reporter: parrenin.ujf at gmail.com
QA Contact: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
I have an HP elitebook 840 G2 laptop (with a docking station) installed with
debian 9.
Suspend was working fine with the stock intel video driver, both in the docking
station or outside.
But I had this problem when connecting to an external monitor:
https://www.reddit.com/r/debian/comments/3m6uet/laptop_screen_brightness_is_set_to_minimum_when/
So I decided to update the drivers to 'testing' ones (v. 2.99.917), as
explained here:
https://www.slightfuture.com/how-to/debian-newer-intel-graphics
Now, the first problem is solved, but I got a second one: when I am in the
docking station, I cannot suspend the laptop anymore.
