Confirmed, I have the same issue, responds in the same way.

With Linux 4.6 and 4.7.

Screen flashes (to black screen) from after booting kernel.

I'm running Manjaro KDE (up-to-date)

System: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, (also uses Intel i915)
