[Bug 95176] LCD flickering on Thinkpad T440p (Haswell) with kernel 4.6-rc4 (PSR enabled)

I am experiencing the same problems on a thinkpad e540p (similar hardware) on
arch linux with kernel 4.7.6-1. I beleive this was introduced in kernel 4.6.x.
Kernel 4.5.x works fine, later kernels require booting with i915.enable_psr=0
to resolve the issue.

I would love to provide more information if needed - I'm not exactly sure what
information is relevant as this is the first time I'm getting involved in this
sort of thing.
