What's the status on pushing out this revert? Can we please aim to get this
into 4.10?

I've been running for 2 weeks on 4.9 with the patch in comment #20, and the
hard lockups have totally gone. This is certainly way, way better than the
current stock experience, which results in my T460s entirely locking up daily.
