Okay, so it appears like I may have incorrectly patched the kernel in my first
attempt, because now whitelisting or removing the 20 or so lines from kernel
4.9.x seems to work totally fine. The original regression though is still quite
annoying, as I have had to patch every single kernel since 4.7.5 so that the
opregion interface remains enabled on the Spectre x360.
