Just to be more clear on the issue here:

On running autotest, mentioned above in a loop without any delay and without
any spinlock, same system freeze/display corruption is observed. The issue is
seen after running 300-400 iterations. I have started a test without any delay
on linux-stable 4.15.1. Will share those logs once issue is reproduced.

The delay added also causes the same crash pattern and reproduces the issue
more frequently/always within few seconds.
