It's not very convenient to recompile the kernel for testing purposes. Unless
you recommend this to be turned ON by default, even in production builds?

Even with this option turned on, manually restarting video playback is still
for now the only known, slow and elusive way to reproduce this hard crash.
There seems to be a tentative root-cause so could some (new?) lower-level and
more focused (IGT?) test(s) stress overlays harder, better, faster and
stronger?
