[Intel-gfx] Testing of patch attached to bug #17756

Hi all,

The patch attached to bugzilla #17756 [1] is intended to fix an issue 
with random black screen occurring with an i845. The problem was either 
occurring at startup or when changing mode with xrandr.

I am fairly confident that the patch does fix the issue I encountered 
for the given hardware (based on my own tests of the patch, and it has 
also been tested on more than 50 different machines for more than 3 weeks).

However, I am not sure of the impact of this patch on other intel 
chipsets, so it would be great to test the patch and see if that 
introduces any regression with other hardware.
