Hi,

Adding these lines to the xorg.conf helpes:

Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "VGA"
    HorizSync 24-92
    VertRefresh 43-60
    Option "Above" "LVDS"
    Option "Primary" "false"
    Option "Modes" "1280x1024 1024x768"
    Option "PreferredMode" "1280x1024"
EndSection

Now i have a bunch of default modes:

VGA1 connected 1280x1024+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y
axis) 0mm x 0mm
   1280x1024 60.0*+
   1920x1440 60.0
   1856x1392 60.0
   1792x1344 60.0
   1600x1200 60.0
   1400x1050 60.0
   1280x960 60.0
   1024x768 60.0
   800x600 60.3 56.2
