Discussions over on debian-devel at lists.debian.org suggest that KMS
should work with their generic kernel packages even though
CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS is not set, simply by booting with the
i915.modeset parameter (circa 2.6.29). Does anyone know if this
still the case in 2.6.31?
