[Intel-gfx] possible registry tweak for rotation?

Hello, my name is Jordan.
I'm having a lot of trouble finding useful information, or even where to look
for it, hoping this reaches someone who can help:

I have a question regarding the rotation of a monitor using the Mobile Intel(R)
965 Express Chipset Family, which is being used in a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop
running Windows Vista (32-bit) on a Core 2 Duo processor. I need to rotate an
external monitor and from what I've read it is possible, but usually disabled
in laptops by the manufacturer. (the option doesn't appear in the 'Display
Settings' tab of the 'Control Center'). I've seen snippets of driver code
suggesting registry changes which may enable rotation, but I couldn't  see
exactly what needed to be done. If it is possible, could I be told what changes
I would need to make? Or could it be confirmed that it is not possible?

Interested in any (though preferably simple) solution, I do use python if that
is of any benefit.
