I assume this list is mostly for help-yourself-type people.


I can feel how frustrating it's for you to have an expensive laptop and now 
are in search for a driver. But in your case, you should go to your 
distribution. Fedora is usually quite quick enabling brand-new hardware, so 
that's the positive thingy. I'm not a Fedora user, but I guess that they 
provide a forum and / or bug entry system. Report your problem there, and see 
what response you get from them.

It's like IcoKenwooYea-Hams and homebrew-Hams. The first category goes to the 
support of their manufacturer (Fedora in your case), the second one have to 
look into reference manuals for SiS700's and other compononents.

P.S: I'm preparing for the ham-radio licence right now, the german equivalent
