And to be more precise, it looks like the problem would only be
triggered when a VESA, EFI, or open firmware framebuffer is already
registered, with an aperture base and size of zero.
I checked in a fix to udlfb at git.plugable.com which sets the
aperture base and size, same as smem.
Kal kindly tested and confirmed it appears to work. I don't know
whether this is the right answer, or fixing the original patch,
however.
