Which APN do you want to use? vzwinternet or we01.vzwstatic? I'd
suggest you keep the original Verizon firmware, and then forget about
doing anything with AT commands, just go on and configure the APN you
want to use in /etc/qmi-network.conf and run qmi-network start.

You're getting a protocol error we don't know about (64) so it's a bit
hard to say what that error could mean...
