Hey Ale,

First things first: I have posted the two proposals in the usual place: http://libregraphicsmeeting.org/lgm/public-documentation/venue-proposals/venue-proposals-2018/

Ahh, sorry -- misunderstood!

For the process ...

In the last two years we included everyone that was involved in organising the next year, plus some that felt they had a stake too (and obviously only few of us can/could find the time to engage). We first had a meeting trying to find a consensus, and asked additional questions to the proposers. In a second meeting we made a decision and proposed it to the rest of the LGM community.

Here are notes from last year: https://titanpad.com/lgm-location-2017
And the mail-thread from last year: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libre-graphics-meeting-org/2015-June/000025.html

In this case, the list of people involved would be as follows:

Nate Willis, Frank Trampe, João Bueno, Raniere Silva, Cadunico, Alexandre Rezende, Gulherme Razgriz, Femke Snelting, Pippin, Ale Rimoldi, Phil Langley, Simon Budig, Ale González, Yorik Le Havre, chris, Julien Deswaef, Pat David, Liam Quin, Manuel Schmalstieg, Lara Blasic -- taken from https://titanpad.com/lgm-organisation2017 Of course Louis Desjardins, Dave Crossland should be there and also last year Greg Pittman joined the discussion.

I think some of them are not yet on the org list, so if we think this is a good idea, I can send out an e-mail with the invitation to take part in the discussion and to sign up to the mailinglist, and also to ask again about a date. It would be nice if we can do the first meeting still in June?

Also, I have contacted Soenke (Saarbruecken) so we should have additional answers soon.

best!

Femke
