Do you need access to the Verio console to pay? In my registrar for
instance, you can just give someone a link to an invoice webpage and
anyone who has the link can pay (who would pay a random invoice for
someone else anyway? In my case, I would not mind if someone would pay
my invoice. I would not even search for the "culprit" :p)

As far as whois can tell, you still are the one and only registrant.

In any case, if ever you cannot pay without access to the Verio
console, I would suggest to act fast. Just in case getting back your
credentials takes more time than just a few emails. We would not want
cybersquatters to get it.
