I don’t know what’s involved in the SPI effort but I understood you wrote
them a letter (or did I miss something?) and we are waiting for an answer.
I can only think their answer will be positive.
My take on that is we enter the process of becoming a project member, it
can take up to 3 months, ahead of time before next LGM. Meanwhile we work
on the sponsoring, knowing that the money can land in GNOME’s account. Once
the process is complete with SPI, we transfer the money to them from GNOME.
Even if it takes 2 months extra, we’re still on time with LGM for the
reimbursements that SPI will take care of.
