[LGM] finances

The letter is written. I have not sent it yet but was planning to do so
this week.

I was under the impression that the GNOME Foundation was a possibility for
a long-term umbrella relationship, no? If so, I'd much prefer to try that
first since we already have a connection and an engagement.
