[LGM] finances

Actually, I realise I wasn’t clear. Sorry about that.
At first, Neil from GNOME said to me he’d be able to help with what I
asked: holding temporarily Google funds before we get the Project member
status from SPI. Neil then wrote me to apologise because he realised that
it was in fact no possible to do that.
That means that we cannot use GNOME as a safe lander for our Google
sponsorship (yet to be confirmed).
On the bright side, Neil told me he had been on the board of SPI a while
ago and thought that the process of becoming a Project member could be
quicker than the 3 months or so period that is written on their website. He
then asked me who was the person we talked to at SPI and I replied I was
not involved in that conversation but I would find out who it was and let
him know. My understanding for that question is that he may know that
person and that could maybe help get things quicker or at least make the
contact easier (no cold call!).
Plus, he gave me the date of the next SPI board meeting and we still have
time to enter the process and hope that the board can look at LGM to
determine whether we fit in their scope or not.
