Did you have OpenGL enabled previously? LibO + OpenGL on Linux is not a working
combination yet (for the UI, not talking about Impress transitions).

Wondering, if it is the side effect of some auto-disabling kicking in.

Maybe you can check, if the entries are really false in the profile:
