If bug 58685 is considered too, it is no easy hack.
I think, UX is still needed, because it is not clear yet, how the dialog should
look and work:
The dialog must provide the option to determine the export filter.
The dialog has an "automatic file extension" option, which needs the exact
filter.
There exists the request, that a default name is provided, bug 58685.
The request here does not distinguish between LO dialog or operating system
dialog.
The reporter makes several suggestions. It is not clear, which of them should
be taken, or perhaps a different way?
On Windows entering an expression with a * as wildcard in the file name field
and pressing enter will show only matching files without changing the selected
filter. For example "*" will show all files or "*3D*" will show all files, for
which the file name contains "3D" or "*.doc" will show old MS Word documents.
So for the Windows dialog no action is needed.
